Geocaching is a relatively new sport that attracts thousands of players both nationally and internationally. Often described as a high-tech treasure hunt, it utilizes the Global Positioning System receivers and the internet. The Global Positioning System (GPS) enables people to pinpoint specific geographic locations accurately-anywhere in the world.  Once a person has hidden a treasure ( or (geocache) and recorded the location on the internet, another player can locate the geocache using his or her GPS receiver
